Myths And History Of White Roses
Many people are aware that the red rose symbolizes eternal love, do you know what the white rose means? It has been said that in the beginning, the first rose to emerge on Earth what the white rose, developing magically into other colours, hues and tones. There are many different meanings for roses and there is a rich history in where these beliefs came from. Flowers are an ideal way to share your feelings with someone and for centuries, roses have been used to speak complex messages without words between sender and recipient and are recognised as messengers over the world for true love.
The pink rose came about when the white rose blushed after receiving a kiss from a fine young maid whilst the red rose, according to Greek Mythology, appeared when Aphrodite was pricked by a thorn on the white rose and the petals were tainted by her blood. Purity and innocence are symbolically represented in the white rose. Marriage represents the love that transcends all other loves and white roses are traditionally used in bridal bouquets and are known as the bridal flower.
